On FSSW. Sloan Thomas just made a ridiculous
catch for a score. I don't remember the final
score. But it's 21-6 UT 5 minutes into the 2nd.
Why is this a classic?

Probably because there aren't one of the 981 Rangers or Astros games being broadcast today.

Haha very true.

One thing I've noticed is there are a lot of future
NFL players in this game.

Looks like Roy Williams played harder for UT
than he did for Detroit or Dallas.

Stick around. It's a great game. This is all from memory, but I believe Tech comes back and the teams start trading the lead back & forth in the second half. It was Vince's early days and he was still getting a footing at the time, and after having a bad second half (or maybe injured?), Chance Mock comes in a leads a drive to put Texas in the lead late. But Tech still isn't done....

I may have to flip over to it now!

Texas won 43-40. Sounds like a pretty good game to me. Even better if you are a UT fan.

It was EU. He came off the bench cold and
led the game winning drive. The switch appeared
to be strategic and VY looked unhappy on the
side line.

It was interesting watching this replay, watching VY in his Freshman year trying to run the the typical drop-back Pro-style offense that was setup for Major Applewhite and Chris Simms.

Before anyone watching the game feels too sorry for Vince Young I must remind you that he was to take over the team the next year and led to to two rose bowl wins and 20 straght games and win the 2005 National Championship. Glory years were ahead for him and UT.
