Don Stolz, 57, was killed after being shot three times by a robber at his liquor store in downtown Navasota. This happened in broad daylight while downtown was busy. Don was known by everyone for being a very nice, smiling man who was a great part of the community. People in town are obviously shocked at this senseless tragedy. Here is a couple of links to the story if any of you would like to know a suspect description. After all, this could happen in any town.

What a big part of the community Navasota has lost. My prayers go out to his family. One of my memories occurred when fleeing from Houston to Navasota when Hurricane Rita was supposedly heading for the area. Some friends came along with me. One of them didnt have any cash. All he had was his check that he didnt have time to cash before leaving Houston. Well, Mr. Stoltz ended up cashing the check for him. And boy was my friend thankful for that. Mr. Stolz will truly be missed.
