I'm taking Justin Morneau....I would like to go with Pujols, but he's the home run leader and is hitting at home. He's the obvious pick, thus he won't win.

sorry I meant Joe Mauer....Morneau was last year.

I'm just hoping Nelson Cruz lasts a while...I have a feeling the Rangers could be using him as trade bait soon.

I doubt the Blue Jays would be looking at Cruz unless they found a way to unload Vernon Wells...and I hope that Texas wouldn't be required to take Wells back in any Halladay deal. That would strap the team financially for five years...

Even baseballs most exciting all-star break event is boring.

I think it beats the NBA's Slam Dunk competition.

This is the time of the year for watching the "sporting events" at the lake or the pool. Who wants to watch a bunch of juiced up freaks hit a baseball, when there is so much eye candy near the water.:p

If you look at the AL's guys you had the 32nd player voted in and 2 injury replacements as 3 guys and the one of the first 31 all stars chosen in Mauer isnt exactly a guy with light tower power.

They got desperate...not many people wanted to do it this year. Hamilton, Morneau, and Longoria declined after taking part last year, then when you look around the rest of the roster, there aren't a ton of home run hitters on the squad.

Derek Jeter? Michael Young? Dustin Pedroia? Ichiro?

Sure, Mark Teixeira and Kevin Youkilis, but who knows if they were asked and declined as well.

Yeah that was awful. He's there for his glove and he does have
20 HR's at the break. But I just hope something like that doesn't put
him in a slump. Lol
