hey baseball ump....i drove by a softball complex at 2 in the morning yesterday and there were 3 games going and all were in the 2nd inning....ive been around baseball all my life and have never seen such a thing. have you?

well if i had to guess, it was probably a slowpitch softball tourney of some sort. Been in a few of those late night games before

they were like 12 and 13 yrs old...if you ask me thats a little much

well then in that case, that does seem to be a bit much.
I know when i was calling a 14U little league tournament last week that no inning could start after 12:00 and would have to be resumed the next day, so that I'm not sure about.

there was atleast 200ppl there watching and 3 games going on..it almost seems like a 24hr marathon fundraiser or something

yea that could be possible. Probably some sort of church event or something along those lines. Sort of like a lock in or something like that but out on the fields...wouldnt have minded doing that from time to time

now i could play baseball all day long but i bet those girls were tired today

haha yea tell me about it. and if they had umpires, poor souls
three times i have had to call 11 games in 2 days. those 24 hours of being on the ball field definately took a toll on the body and im still pretty much a kid lol
