who are the recievers for pilot point or cuero? i have never heard of them.We spread the ball around too much... I believe we've thrown to around 12 guys so far and none more than the other...

We run about 60% of the time, pass it 39.9% of the time and fumble about .1% of the time...

Most of our pass plays are 'yards after pass' type gains...

This is the most offensively balanced I've ever seen a Cuero team...

I don't get it either. I thought we were telling the truth. In my opinion Shipley probably is the best 5 receivers in the State. Heck, the kid has been named to all State Teams every year since the 9th grade and holds many state records.

FACT (as far as I can tell): You have a son on the team, which means you should be familiar with the players...

FACT: I don't even live in Cuero anymore, and the boys who are seniors this year were just freshmen my senior year, so I'm not that familiarized with them

But I'll make an attempt...

TE Brady Urbanovsky is a good target, and we were shown a couple of weeks ago that TE Dakota Williams can catch the ball as well... Let's see, the rest of 'em off of the top of my head, maybe Old Green can correct my spelling:

Chris Taylor, Jeremy Ross, Brandon Hilbrich, Daewon (never knew how to spell his name) Williams, Zack Gomez, Latrael Cooper, Larvell Roy, Martell Williams, maybe Courtney Williams, which would be 11... I know I'm leaving out a receiver somewhere because I only named two, the rest are backs...

Brandon Hilbrich, Zack Gomez, Brady Urbanovsky and Dakota Williams are the only seniors on that list...

That's off the top of my head, so I may need to be corrected...

The problem with Bandera is that they don't have a QB that can get the ball to the receivers. All they can do is run the ball and they don't do that too good either. I can't think of anybody this year that really qualifies as a good receiver.

Bellville's Brandt Goeke, Emmanual Sanders and Josh Bryant are a great trio. Goeke has the ability to separate himself from most defenders, Sanders is really dangerous running after the catch and Bryant is great coming out of the backfield. Goeke and Bryant made some incredible receptions against Navasota. Sanders can turn a short pass into a big gain. All three have great hands.

Kennedale has WR Chris 'Threat Matrix' Morris (30 receptions-620 yards-7 TDs, 33 rushing attempts-251 yards-1TD) and TE Giorgio Bostice (14 receptions-273 yards-4 TDs). It is even more impressive, considering that Kennedale runs the ball 70% of the time. RB Rex Harper (101 rushing attempts-1140 yards-22 rushing TDs) and FB Weldon Brooks (93 rushing attempts-735 yards-10 rushing TDs) lead the running attack.

#5 red richardson from marlin is a good throw a short pass and let him run reciever. #23 from marlin anthony simms is the long throw it up in double coverage reciever. simms problem this year is that he plas as a TE/WR and has not had a lot of pass thrown to him this year.

As of last week Jordan Shipley is now #2
Nationwide in career TD's with 60. He only needs 143yds to be #2 Nationwide in yardage, he is in 3rd now,( he averages 136 yds/game). For additional state records, he needs 30 for 1st in career receptions. He also only needs 16td's for
for the single season Td record.

Shipley doesn't have a bad leg either, I know last week against Wimberely he kicked the ball off at least once and made it to the endzone.

Can someone from Burnet tell me what was wrong with y'alls kicker last week? Is #40 the normal kicker?

(Reggie is still the best all around QB I have seen) Regardless of classification... Burnet has a great system, Shipley is obviously very good at working in the system and is very athletic, but anybody with decent hands could catch those passes. With that said, he is the best wide receiver in 3A... I'm not saying that he will have the greatest post high school impact of any of these 3A receivers but he does the most for his team...and considering the team he plays for is favored to win it all...that is saying a lot.

Any good athlete would put up big numbers if his dad was the coach, and the offense revolved around him for 4 straight years. In college we will get a true picture of how good he really is. When the offense doesn't revolve around him,and Small school quality defensive backs aren't covering him.Simply meaning there are more bad ones than good or great ones. Also there is less great coaching going on in the secondary in 3A.

We all know that Shipley is good but his stats during the regular season aren't what get him all of the hype. Yes his numbers are incredible but the reason he has all of the offers and is going to UT is because of what he did during the last couple of summers competing against the best in the state.
