May have been the most punchless team in the history of baseball. Hit 48 home runs on the season. The same # as Dave Kingman of the Cubs. Jose Cruz led the team in bombs with 9.
They also went 89-73 and were in 1st place much of the season.
So, in typical Astros fashion, what did they do in the offseason? went out and got pitching. Some guy named Nolan Ryan.:)
