God I miss Elvis.

I remember it well! I was an incoming freshman in Aug 1977 and heard the news between 2-day workouts. We couldn't believe it.

I also remember that Dec day in 1980 (my senior year) when John Lennon was murdered. Those sure were sad days.

Unlike some who are talking on TV right now about where they were when they first saw "Thriller"...I have no idea!!

I do remember I was sitting in the floor with my brother and sister playing Monopoly when I heard Elvis died.

And I was at some friends house when I heard that Princess Diana was dead.

I was at work when I heard about 9/11....those are really the 3 main things I can remember.

i remember too, BigWood...except it was in the evening...I was watching Monday Night Football and had the honor (joking) of Howard Cossell telling me that "John Lennon...D.O.A. in a New York Hospital..", what a shocker.
