Corpus Christi gal. In her younger days she did commercials for Ace Hardware. She could make a cold day seem very hot.

They said on the radio that she left UT her junior year and went to Hollywood. Aaron Spelling cast her in Charlies Angels. Apparently she was only in 22 episodes (most people think she was there a lot longer) and decided to quit to pursuit her career. Rumor has it that Spelling black-balled her in Hollywood. Only her marriage to Lee Majors helped get her a few odd jobs in the business after that. 22 episodes on a weekly show and she became an Icon. Kind of like Bo Derek did with 10.

She was gorgeous years before she went to Hollywood. Everyone in Corpus who knew her knew she was destined to go places. I'll never forget the day I was introduced to her. RIP Farrah.

I think you missed her nominations for six Golden Globes and 3 Emmys. She did quite well after Charlies Angels.

I'd say there was a lot of that being done at Ray HS around 1965 or so as her Senior picture would illustrate

She also had an impact on sports:

In 1967 a young man named James Street got off the plane for his recruiting visit and Farrah was paired with him as his hostess. The 1969 football NC is hard to fathom without Street's heroics. Jump forward 25 years or so and Houston Street leads the Horns to 2 baseball NCs.

A guys I know well was on the same recruiting trip and I was asking about it one time. He was telling me about all of the illegal stuff that was offered to him by other schools and I asked him what he got from UT. He said, "They didn't offer me nuthin'...they didn't have to. When Farrah Fawcet meets you at the plane, how the ____ are you going to say no?!"
