China Spring Out of State 7 on 7

China Spring for the second straight year has withdrawn from the state 7 on 7 tournament..Rockdale will take their place....

From what I understand they simply didn't want to go, I'm sure there's other reasons like the timing, etc..but thats all I got.

Agreed. If they're not going to participate in the State Tournament, then why bother even allowing them to participate in SQT's? Ban them from all SQT's for a few years.

What they are doing is not right at all, and is not fair for other teams that WANT to play in the State Tournament.

I don't have a problem with CS earning the right to go and choosing not to.

As for the "no time for another team to raise money" argument, there are still 4 tourneys left this weekend, so 7 or 8 teams are gonna qualify this weekend.

Every week I've seen SQTs begging "2 spots still left" or "room for 3 more teams", so banning 'em is pretty pointless. Should the directors really mandate QUALIFYING TEAMS MUST ATTEND THE STATE TOURNEY - OR ELSE?

Would you cancel a party just because one of the invited guest ain't gonna show?

I understand, but Rockdale still has more time than anybody that qualifies this weekend to raise money.

Rockdale is about 45 miles away from College Station - How much money do they gotta raise?

C.S. boy you could make alot out of that. Just tell someone your not going, what in the crap is the big deal. Last year it was because Bell didn't want his little boy's to get hurt playing touch football. What a joke. I have met him, and if you have ever been around him then you know his shat don't stink.

Actually Rockdale is a perfect choice because they dont have to raise the money for hotels from what I understand they are just going to commute both days.

just ban us, we never go so its not like it will hurt our feelings or anything. The kids would love to go, but the coaches never would let us go....so it wont hurt anything.
