WC not even being in the Reg 4 top 25 is a joke. They'll be ALOT better. Will fight for a district champ.

i have them in the playoffs, per my other thread

coincidentally, i have them third in their district; DCTF has them fifth. So it doesn't seem that i am under-estimating them

I've heard the same thing about them for the last two years and they just haven't produced as promised. The potential is there...they just have to get over the hump and prove they can contend once again. It's only a matter of time.

Wow, no Port Isabel?? It's all good though, PI is out for redemption, and when the players see this Top 25 without them on it, should light a fire under their butts.

Hidalgo at 24....they are a HUGE question mark coming into the season. No one knows what to expect from them, brand new coach, etc. etc.

I didn't think our coach would pick a QB with a 1/7 TD/INT ratio over a QB who has thrown 2 TD's and NO INT's and is much more athletic and fast.

I thought our coaches would figure it out, but apparently it took a year longer than I expected.

IF they play the QB they should.... ONLY then will they contend. Maybe they'll go with the 3 yr experiment.

Bandera has 8 offensive and 5 defensive starters returning from a regional finalist team in 2008. Heck of a quarterback and a short but really good receiver. They will be tough.

4 of the top 6 all from D25. One or two very good teams in this district will sit at home in the playoffs. The Leps play two districts this year as in the last: D28 Yoakum, Gonzales and Goliad, with a scrimmage against Cuero. Last year they went 3-0 against D28 enough to get them into the playoffs from that district but they didn't cut it in D25. Last year they sleep walked through the Smithville game and got gobsmacked big time by a very good Tiger team. The Leps can pull off some upsets this year if they have the concentration necessary to get the job done. This year hopefully they have matured and realize every game in district will be a dog fight. Go Leps.

Leadership and Experience will help the Leopards this year.

.....and Bellville should be ranked above Giddings. Just based on what's coming back.
