Overall, Region II looks much better in the middle than last year. Many of the playoff teams look to continue to improve; however, the distance between Celina and the rest of Div II does not appear to have narrowed by a considerable margin.

Div I should feature both Alvarado and Van, while Prosper remains strong enough defensively to beat both again-but first they have to replace a QB like Nix.

Given the wealth of experience returning at several schools, the overall quality of the region seems to be improving, and once again the winners of both D I and II will be quality opponents for their Region I counterparts.

BASED ON MY DISTRICT PROJECTIONS, HERE IS THE PLAYOFF SCENARIO: (records are subjective)

Wow, does Lucas really have 11/11 returning? Were they only 2 or 3 grades since they are a new school?

I don't know if they just didn't play any seniors last year or if the school opened with less than four classes, but the entire team does return.

Should be an interesting game with Farmersville this year, as the farmers return 18 themselves, and won the district over lovejoy last year.

Lovejoy could give Van (their likely playoff opponent) all they want and more if their offense continues to develop.
