I used to wear 34's at one point....I got as high as 42's, then my brother had a heart attack at age 48.

I'm back down to 38's and I'm HOPING to be back in 34's in time for football season.

Don't worry too much about it, Electus! With the new job, you will lose weight quickly!;) Most of which will be water, lost through sweating in 100 degree heat! You'll be back in working shape in no time.

If that doesn't work..........still no need to worry! Just remember......."ROUND" is a shape!:D

Six months ago a 38 was tight and I was on the last hole on my belt. Today a 36 is loose, my new size 36 belt is hooked in the middle hole and I'm thinking 34 is not far away. Was 202 lbs, now 164 lbs. Comes from changing eating habits and a bit of exercise (walking) about 4 evenings a week. I just hope I can keep it off!

Awesome! Keep it up.

Eight years ago I had a stretched-out 42 waste size. I refused to go to 44 because my circumference would be getting close to my height.:( I fought and fought. Finally, I have found traction with bike riding and healthier and smaller portions of food. I'm almost ready to get back into size 38s myself. My goal is to back into 34s and around 175 pounds.
I weighed around 280 at my heaviest. I am now less than 240 and with much more leaner tissue, which helps to burn more fat. I feel better now than when I was 32.

Not that anyone would do this..

but i think AGE is a big factor in all of this...

don't get me wrong, ANYONE who loses weight is to be applauded! But, I'd be interested in knowing everyone's age (which also indicates metabolism, or lack thereof!)...

Personally..I'm 48 y.o. and down to a 36 waist, having lost 10 pounds in the last 30 days due to walking 4-5 miles a day six days a week..I'm like most of the guys here, I want to be a 34 when FB season starts!

(p.s.-am I asking too much here? LOL)

I'm 64 and have been sedentary too long. It's easy to blame it on age. When I was 35 I weighed 155 lbs, up from 135 lbs. at age 25. I don't for a minute believe that there aren't young people (under 40 years old) who are also sedentary and overweight. My problem has been too much lunch and I proved that by not eating out from work but eating very sensibly while at work. If I snack, it is fruit (I love grapes and cherries).

I'm 50. I'm 6-0 tall and I've weighed around 190-200 since senior year of high school. But I'm carrying the weight in a different place now

Thanks, guys. You might now know it, but your stories are inspiring and motivating.

I got up to 265 last year and was afraid to look in the mirror.

I started really slowly and had some rough spots, but I'm at about 245 right now after about eight months.

I've recently started walking/jogging more (about 3 miles 3 times a week). I'm trying...I hope to get back to a 38. (I'm a tweener 40-42).
