Thread on another board says SLC just got a top rated QB from Florida. Anyone heard anything about it? Wonder if it will get them back to the state finals?

Just my experience, but move-ins rarely help...usually cause more trouble and aren't half as good as the legend that daddy brings to the fieldhouse. I love calling a the previous school about the legend and having the coach ask "Who?".

The least of Carroll's problems is at QB

Ive said this since the year after he left. They just dont seem as disciplined as they were when Dodge was their. That is what made them great, it wasnt that they were the most talented its because they didnt make mistakes.

From another site:
brett maxie... son of dallas cowboys assistant brett maxie _ moved in from aquinas last year.... he played JV QB as a junior...News is that now he's transferred to a private school - Colleyville Covenant.

SLC has two D-1 QB's, if Maxie is the kid they are talking about they were trying to work him in at RB and DB...but he wanted to play QB....thus the transfer

What is so bad about that? If he has college potential at QB and is going to be forced to play another position, why jeopardize his future of a free education?

Did I misread that he played on JV as a Junior? That'd be somewhat of an indicator to me that he isn't a world-beater. Of course, I don't get paid to recruit either. :p

If there is a senior on varsity who is just as good then there would be no reason for him to be sitting on the bench on varsity. If they were going to make him play a new position come his senior year he should have been playing it as a JR
