About PrepNation.com: PrepNation.com was created in August 2001 by Jamie DeMoney to serve as a permanent online home for the National Prep Poll, which also runs on the Associated Press national wire and appears in newspapers across the country. DeMoney, 32, is a 1994 graduate of the University of Iowa School of Journalism, a member of the Football Writers Association of America, and has been involved with prep recruiting and evaluation for nearly a decade. In addition to producing the National Prep Poll rankings for World Features Syndicate and the Associated Press since 1999, DeMoney is former managing editor of American Football Monthly magazine, a publication for which he still serves as high school football rankings and features contributor. Prior to that, DeMoney worked with USA Today Super 25 rankings originator Dave Krider as Assistant National Editor for All-Stater Sports magazine and HighWired Sports.
DeMoney is also a full-time staff member of Forbes Recruit Evaluation. Each football season, DeMoney evaluates thousands of high school football players and teams in person and on tape while helping produce The Forbes Report, a football recruiting report to which more than 100 Division I-A schools subscribe.
DeMoney has offered his views and insight on high school sports and recruiting to a variety of media outlets over the years, including USA Today and the Dallas Morning News and has also been a guest on sports radio stations in a variety of markets.
DeMoney's other credits include serving as editor of Gridiron Greats recruiting yearbook (1995-99), Associate Editor of Hawkeye Nation magazine (2003-current), contributor to NFLHS.com and doing play-by-play high school sports for KCJJ-AM in Iowa City, Iowa, during the mid-90s.
