If you look at the past 20 years you see that Chicago has won 6 titles, Los Angeles has won 4 and San Antonio 4 which adds up to 14 or 70% of the titles. The others were Houston and Detroit with 2 and Boston and Miami with 1 each. It seems that the NBA likes LA to win regularly when one considers the one sided trades or free agents they get like with Shaq and Fisher and Gasol. Also a few years ago look at what Boston got and they used that talent to get it. SA just lucked out in getting Manu, Tim and Tony much to their chagrin I am sure.

Look at pro football. In the past twenty years only Dallas and New England have 3 super bowls each which is only 30% of the total compared to the 70%.

It's not. Those teams all included one of the top 3 players in the league at that time.

Chicago - MJ
San Antonio - Timmy
Houston - Olajuwon
LA - Shaq and Kobe + Kobe/collusion trade to get Gasol
Miami - Dwade and Shaq

Football = team game. Basketball = have the most dominant big men to ever play the game.
