For those that have played in the "offiicial" 3A Downlow League.

What are some things you'd like changed?

Fewer teams?
Different point totals?
Waiver/trade restrictions?
Auto draft vs live draft?
etc...

I know what a lot of people are going to say. Get Ev out of there so we actually have a chance to win. But seriously I liked the way it was last year it seemed pretty fair the only rule I have about a league is I wont play unless its a live draft. I like that we had a lot of teams last year it meant you really had to follow closely and know how to manage your team to win.

i think a trade between 2 teams should be between those two teams only...

it shouldnt be up to the owners of other teams to decide what is best for my team or the other team involved in the trade...

unless the trade is blatantly uneven, then there should be no interference from the commissioner or other owners...

other than that, the league last year was fun and competitive...

I think we should check the rosters every week and if a player leaves an empty spot in his roster for the week 3 or more times he is not allowed to play the next year unless its severe circumstances like the guy who lost his power this year.

haha that was me...darn Hurricane Ike...it may have been the week I played you, too....cant remember...im definitely in for another year and i like the live draft....i hate this let the computer pick after we ranked them stuff we did in baseball, i got a bunch of old guys that keep getting hurt....

has the trade thing been a problem in the past? i dont remember vetoing any trades last year or anyone getting theirs vetoed....i think having the league vote is a good way from keeping two players from conspiring together to make one super team (have seen this happen in the past) but being we are playing just for pride it probably wouldnt be a problem in our league...

I didn't play in the "official" 3adownlow league last year, but I have played fantasy football for years and have played in the "official" league a couple of times. Plus you guys know I'm good at trash talking so when the league is set up, if there is a spot open, let please let me know.

Lets establish a draft date in advance so if need be I and others can ask off work.

Not like last year where it was one day, then changed to the next day like 3 hours before.

For the draft, we should get to choose what # pick we want based on the standings at the end of last year. It at least gives the people who are good a prize since there is no free shirt.

i picked a Wednesday, but that can be changed.

sahen will be in Vegas on the date I selected, so we can look at some other dates.

Thats how most leagues go and it always pisses me off when they play the following year too because the same thing will happen..

On a lighter note, have you guys seen the new features yahoo fantasy football is offering.. Seems pretty sweet.. Esp. for leagues w/ individual defensive players

They already do, but only in "keeper" leagues... I doubt the 3adownlow league will be a keeper league though

People who kept up with their team and didnt have a good year shouldnt be punished. What we need to do is have a system in place if a player has open spots on his roster for 2 or more weeks of the season and is not fielding a complete team with no good reason (ie sahen losing his electrictity and not being able to last year) they should be not allowed to compete again the next year but punishing people who don't have a good team is dumb.

I'm going to start another official "3adownlow" league if not.. My league will be better

it works for all fantasy teams on yahoo, if you buy the pro version then you can manage multiple teams...its been on iphone for a while and i have it for my storm, it is new for the storm...i figured a player of your supposed calibur would know this...

I don't play in those leagues and I only play in leagues with active users / past champions. I won't play in wimpy 3adownlow leagues anymore. You also forgot to mention that 5 of my eleven trophies are championships and again remember that is against top competition. So you guys can play in your little 3adownlow league and pat eachother on the butt and act like you are high and mighty, but I'm going to play in competitive league w/ people who know how to play fantasy sports. I'm not wasting my time on 3adownlow leagues

Don't even try to play it off like that. It's not set up with defensive players so you know you will suck. Your "strategy" is making a league where tackles are 2 points each, and just knowing to go and pick up all the leading tacklers from last season because the other players don't know any better.

I haven't done that since the last 3adownlow league I was in and I didn't set the rules for that league, it was like the before I even joined the league. My leagues use defensive players but only 1 point per tackle and the people in the league have been in the league for years now and know how to play, unlike your little 3adownlow leagues.. But it is cute that you guys play fantasy football, its kinda like co-ed slow pitch softball league..

Well the "exclusive club" usually means you are around a lot. Not gonna let some new guy who post once a month join the fantasy football league.

Keith is just scared and like usual, does nothing to back up running his mouth.

He is probably still mad about the NCAA beat downs I gave him.
