I would not classify Mueller in that class. He cannot throw the ball and is too slow. He has the arm, but his mechanics is are terrible. Jackson is the real deal, he will be a good college player, speed and strength and something that cannot be taught, DESIRE.

Mueller could definitely improve his throwing, but he is not slow. Actually, deceptively a very fast runner for the player of his size.

Mueller and Browning from Bellville are both listed as a Texas Top 300 player in Dave Campbell's.

Mueller (6'5" 225 4.6) is listed as a top 10 TE in the state, yet he doesn't even play the position. Browning (6'2" 220 4.7) is listed in the "Best of the rest" LB'er category which includes the top 34 linebackers in the state. Interesting in that Jeremy Jackson (5'11" 215) is probably the best linebacker Bellville has, yet Browning is considered more of a prospect because of his size.

Forgot about Browning, he ended up playing TE toward the end of the season & throughout the playoffs. Don't know if he will tote the ball, play LB or stay at TE.

Browing never impress me at running back. He did not run with power for his size and he would not explode into the hole. However he did show his speed at tight end. He played a key role in the victory over Sinton. Jackson is the real deal, he is extremly strong, quick and plays with that Zack Thomas desire. Cannot wait for the season to kick off.

Are the Reese twins going to play running back this year. In what I saw of the JV, they will add a lot of depth to the backfield.

Sinton's seniors to watch:
Josh Harrison, QB
Shane Segovia - he can play so many positions, don't know where he'll end up, but if he stays healthy, he'll be a load

I'm sure I'm overlooking someone, it's not intentionally, I just can't remember at the moment.

No way he is a 4.6, who ever had that watch on him is a liar. He has good height, but his ability to throw the football leaves a lot to be desired, like I said he has terrible mechanics.

Before you start running your mouth some more rancher, Mueller went to a Rice University camp this week where he was tied in the 40 at 4.57. I would suspect that the people there would know how to time properly. And also, he is being recruited as a tight end, so those bad mechanics won't come into play much. The kid is a flat out athlete, I don't know why there is so much hating going on

Wylie doesn't have anybody... they'll just make it to the semi's or with a good bounce or two play for a state championship. Actually watch out for LB Jimmy Holley. Was Jesse Jennings' protege and hits like a freight train, I look for a big year for returning starting QB Matt Preston--has size, a good arm and now a semi-finals run under his belt. Also watch for WR Austin Gray--maybe the most dangerous weapon on the team. Big, strong, physical and fast--can take it to the house on any play... he and Preston just have that chemistry, dangerous combo.

Jeremy Jackson RB

Both will get over 1000 yards rushing, Godfrey came beat on the ground or in the air. Jackson speed is is crazy.

Gilmer:

Darian "Stump" Godfrey - QB (This will be the year of the Stump!:D )

Some other seniors on the Buckeye squad to look out for:
Tristan Holt (CB/WR - committed to Baylor), Kedon Franklin, Daniel McLaren, Braylon Webb, Vance Green, Paul Chestnut, Tevin Godfrey, Luis Castro, Ben Griffith, Marlon Granville, J.T. Beecham, Jeremy Jackson, Mikey Wilson, Beau Blair, and Jacob Jenkins........just to name the seniors.:D

I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 5 or 6 D1 signees out of this group.;)

Sinton's QB might get some attention. Not a bad arm pretty good accuracy and he's tall (6'-6") don't run too bad either. If he get's a good bunch of people around him this year(lost pretty much everybody) he could have a helluva year.

Sinton's QB will get some attention. Great size, has a gun for an arm and can run. One of the best all round QB, he just does everything well. Saw it in the playoffs against Bellville.

But for me Monahans stud DE- Senior #81 Trevor Owens is a great one a leader workhorse and just fun to watch he reminds or Eric Winston who played for Midland Lee then went on to Miami. Not as big or tall but the kid is a player.

and yet sweeny is projected to be the district front runner..

if the thread is about " getting it done " on the field and not just " top recruits in Texas"....then watch for marcus melton of wharton. Defensive lineman.

That's why I asked! I didn't want to list our "top seniors" if it's supposed to be D1 guys, because well, you know, we don't have that many. (Okay, none. :p ) Sure it'd be cool if we had a rematch. Didn't get enough the first time around? :stirpot:
