Burnet High School tight end Mason Templeton has made a verbal commitment to play football at the University of Arkansas.
The 6-foot-7,225-pound Templeton, who also considered Georgia Tech and UTEP, helped Burnet reach the Class 3A Division I state championship game this season, catching 22 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns.
Templeton is the third member of the team to make a commitment to a Division I college. Lineman Eddy Parker (Georgia Tech) and tight end/linebacker Luke Pell (Army) will make their commitments official on Feb. 5, national signing day.
