I know it's not fun to remember, but what's the worst game scorewise that your team ever endured? BTW- No fair naming the other guy's...:D

For Bridgeport:

56-0, at the hands of the eventual 2003 3A DI State Champ Gainesville Leopards--at home, to boot. Those guys were something special that season.

28-0 when we lost to Monahans in the '98 playoffs - Quarterfinals I believe.

Probably wasn't the worst scorewise, but definitely stung worse than any of them. We were #1 in state and had the Fox Sports SW player of the year; they were 6-6 and started the playoffs either 3-6 or 4-6? People were planning the freshman team to play be the end of the game, and the did; it was just Monahans'.

Our worst playoff loss ever was 39-0 to Denison in the 4A

Our biggest playoff victory was 60-0 win over FW-Brewer in 4A

Port Isabel's biggest win, if I recall, was in 1978 I think, they beat Hidalgo 86-6. Here's the kicker....Hidalgo scored first and had a 6-0 lead before PI blew them out of the water.

Port Isabel's biggest loss? 1993 playoffs, 3rd round. Cuero annihilates PI 63-8.

The next year......yep, payback. :D

Keith is correct. I don't remember the score in 02 but, I do know it was 14-13 Bridgeport at halftime. "Then the beatings began!" Daughtry was getting hit on every play as was his stud receiver.

Two of the worst "whuppins" I remember seeing in person were the 35-7(or something like that) loss to Cuero around 1987 and the loss to Mathis in the area round of the playoffs in 1999. The last one hurt badly because Sinton had done really well against Mathis for years and years before they beat us in the playoffs.

Prosper beat Collinsville 100-0 in 1962. This was when both were 8-man rather than 6-man, so no mercy rule was in effect.

As long as I've been around West Columbia, our worst loss was 62-7 against Wimberley in 2006 (They won state that year) and in our defense, we were missing our best player Jared Flannel, he broke his ankle the game before.

Wouldn;t have made much difference, but we probably would have scored a couple more times, and them probably one less.

Thye had a TE that burned the fastest kid we had. It was unbelievable.

And the most lopsided win was 2006, 66-0 over Stafford. Not really saying much though.

Without a doubt, the worst whipping Celina would have put on anybody was against Prosper in 85, 86, or 87.

It was 63-0 at halftime, and Prosper decided to get on their bus and go home. No one bothered to tell the fans...they just got on the bus and drove out the front gate.

I was in town for a game back in '95. My alma mater, Victoria Stroman, was playing my hometown, Cuero. Stroman was the visiting team, and my wife and I were part of a group of say...50 fans (the Raiders were on a long losing streak). The Gobblers beat the Raiders 61-6. It was embarrassing. Brownwood lost to Abilene High in Brownwood 63-14 back in 2004. Then in 2005 Everman knocked us out of the playoffs 48-0. That is the only time Brownwood has been shut since the first game of the 1995 season (when we went 1-9)... In 94 and 95 we had season opening losses to Abilene Cooper 54-0 and 57-0.

In 1998 we were ahead of Everman at halftime 53-0... we wound up winning 53-14. I think we called off the guns in the second half. In 1987 we beat Stephenville 62-0.

We actually led you guys 55-0 before you finally scored. I think we had put our #3 defense in after our last kickoff. Your first play was an 80 yard pass for a TD. I don't think Sweetwater even finished with 100 yards of offense for that game even after that 80 yard pass. Where did the defense go last year....

Yeah, that is true, from what a couple of the players told me, and yes, it was COLD that December day at Floyd Casey. It was in the upper 20s, windy, with a few snow flurries that day. It began to clear up in the 4th quarter, though it was still very cold and windy.

Jasper beat Cleveland 82-0 sometime in the late 80s. It was 41-0 at the end of the first quarter. There was nothing Jasper could do at that point. The team stayed on the sidelines and watched the band's halftime performance. Needless to say they ran the clock nonstop in the second half.

It wasn't cold. We were having fun. They were announcing the Cowboy's score on the PA. You stay warm pulling on the Wing-T power sweep on offense and camping out in the opponents backfield on defense the whole game.

I got so fired up remembering this game that I watched it again last night on DVD! They didn't complete one pass.

Were you on that Yoemen team? They didn't have DVDs in '81. Which game were you watching? The Buckeyes actually completed at least one pass that I remember.........and YES, it was cold, especially in the stands where I was.

Also, the worst loss every endured by Cameron Yoe was a 70-7 thrashing done by Jasper a few years ago in the playoffs...

Actually, that 70-7 loss was not at the hands of Jasper in the playoffs, if your losing that bad in the playoffs against jasper in our district which is usually like a 3rd-4th round game you should be banned from playoffs...but i digress

We did lose to Jasper a few years ago in the playoffs but that score was only 20-7 and we had i believe 7 turnovers and still had a chance to win that game

Yes I was.

They didn't have DVD's then but I have one now.

Well I fudged just a bit. They completed 3 passes and they had more than 10 yards (maybe 60) of offense after the field goal. It was 0-0 after the first quarter. We couldn't get a 1st down and Gilmer couldn't hold on to the ball. It was 16-3 at half and 26 to 3 at end of 3rd quarter.

We had 2 long TD passes, one fumble recovery in endzone for TD, a safety and a FG.

Gilmer had maybe 10 but not more than 15 plays that went for positive yardage and about 8 fumbles the whole game.

Yeah, that about surmises what happened that day. Y'all stacked the box with at least 9 players for most of the game. We didn't have a passing game, either. Funny thing is the only big play we had was that play that got us down within field goal range, a play which was called by a player (against the coach's wishes) who was benched by the coach afterward. It also didn't help that the coach's son (the QB) fumbled the ball in the end zone shortly afterward, and instead of kicking the ball out of the endzone for a safety, he justed watched y'all recover. No excuses, though, y'all were the better team that day for sure.

Cameron Yoe had some incredible players that season...Oscar Riggins, Paul Hoelscher, Jeff Boutwell, Vic Powell, and so on....also, a very good coaching staff led by Toby York...

I was mistaken...back in the 2002 Region III Semifinals, Jasper burned Cameron Yoe for 46 points and shut the mighty Yoe out...that is the whuppin' that I was thinking of...

well it ain't football, but my freshman year, we went to Paris to play a double header. in the 1st game as a young leftfielder, i got very tired chasing baseballs that were crashing off the left field wall and others that were screaming out of the park. Unfortunately Buckeye1980 was pitching:D. our coach pulled us off the field in the 3rd inning. Final..........Paris 27 Gilmer 1. I remember distinctly never even moving on the last homerun. I just turned my head and watched it fly:D. Did i mention doubleheader...........lost the second game 13-3, but we did make five innings. Those may be the only two scores of my high school baseball career that i remember:doh:

Steve Gaddis was the last of the coaching staff to retire. He retired from Lewisville High this past season. He even outlasted Sapp.

For Giddings, it was in 1974, La Grange Beat us 69 to 2. To rub it in, late in the 4th quarter, we punted to La Grange and the guy caught it and punted it back!

Coach Sapp has not retired. He is still on the staff as the offensive coordinator. He has been here forever and I don't see him retiring anytime soon. He still has a daughter in high school and has a college education to pay for so i dont see him leaving soon.

True but Sapp has not been HC/AD in quite a while.

I think Rabid Cougar knows this (he played for Sapp's bosses in 1981)...he was talking about the VARSITY coaches from the 1981 state championship team...York, Oliver, Gaddis, Hoelscher, Dunn...

True he stepped down because his daughter was getting to be the age where she could be involved in athletics and it didnt wanna seem as tho she would get any perks as being the HC/AD's daughter so he stepped down allowing Mullins to come in and now leave

So Mullin's son could have all the perks of being the HC/AD son? There was more to it than that.

Mullins and Sapp are 2 totally different people. Thats the way Mullins wanted to go. And I cant lie, Ryan did a heck of a job in both baseball and football. It is just what i was always told that he didnt want his job(sapp) to interfere with his daughter and her athletics...and actually i dont believe she is even involved now lol but I also believe that Sapp would be a great baseball coach once again. He can also play a great game of golf

Bud that was one of the most amazing blocking days in the history of Monahans the Linemen played there tail off. I dont think Breckenridge ever saw blocking the way Loboes did it angle blocking, traps, chop blocking it was a thing of beauty the kind of game film you show when you are training linemen. Loboes were very close to reaching the state finals lost to state champion Aledo in semis in very close game.

The "Who Shot J.R." episode was in 1980. By 1993, we all knew it was Kristin Shepard who pulled the trigger.

same year wharton put up 70 on aransas pass....i felt worse after that win than i did after the loss.
