Definitely. I would also add a stadium that is 30 something miles northwest
of Sweetwater. But they did just get field turf with a pretty yellow
daisy in the middle. So I won't.

You've got that right...more people are under the stands and at the sides visiting with each other than in the stands watching the game!

I'm pretty sure that Sealy's stadium is horrible. If I remember correctly, it's made out of wood, and there is pretty much no leg room, it's almost straight vertical bleachers, and they're small on top of that.

Definitely the suckiest stadium I've been to (in 3a).

The visitors seating is rather limited at Cameron. But the one nice thing is the visitors seating is right on the field, no track between the stands and field.

One place that used to be terrible - Columbus! The visitor stands (you dare not move when standing and not very much room) and the mosquito's from the golf course were bad. But now, it's one of the better places to play in the area! Goes to show what a couple generous donors can do!

A few years ago the Owls played at Marion. You talk about a horrible stadium. The visitors stands were made of wood and you had to be careful where you sat or you might get a nail in your ***! Parking was in a pasture full of potholes and fire ants.

It now has turf and a video board. Only bad thing about it is the parking situation and the fact it's to small for a dominant 5A team.

Somerset has since put in turf but I can remember playing on their old "grass" field. More like cow pasture. I swear the divots on that field came from cattle. And if you put your down it was usually either in a sticker patch or ant mound.

The track + 2 jumping pits + extra turf sidelines between the stadium and field make it terrible

Sweeny has a nice stadium. Visitor seating is laughable and parking overruns on the practice field. The playing surface is grass; not bad but everyone wants turf.

It is better than in 1989 when they quarantined the field because of bats for the entire year! All games were played on the road.

I was talking to a man that played at Sweeny when they were 6 man.....he said the field was pasture land and they parked the cars so they could use them to light up the field for a night game.

S&S. end of discussion. wood bleachers on the visitors side and FFA projects graze on it so it has hoof divots everywhere.

Another bad football stadium is Orange Grove. Sorry OG friends but it is true. The visitors side is about 12 rows high or so and they have to put the bands on the track on both sides of the stadium and that is an injury risk factor. I give them credit because the set aside a portion of the home side for visitors but they have needed a new stadium for years or they need to expand the one they have especially the visitors' side. They have new baseball, softball and high gym and facilities but not a new football stadium. I was told that was their next project several years ago but it hasn't started yet.

I give Goliad credit. They had a sorry visitors' side but it has been expanded and improved and has a pressbox there. It may be one of the bests now.

What is amazing is that there are still playoff games at Buccaneer stadium and Cabeness field in Corpus Chrisit. A better location would be at Javelina stadium in Kingsville. Buccaneer Stadium is a good stadium but the parking is horrible as is at Cabaness field even though the parking is better there.

With the improvements Pirate Stadium in Sinton should be a good one even though I was hoping they would have a new separate stands section on the visitors' side for the band.

i hate talking about my alma mater but snyder needs renovation bad on the stadium! we got a new score board, new facilites in the process, and new turf, but now lets get and expand the stands. it wasnt even enjoyable last year cuz it was like a sardine can in the stands. i think this year i will sit on the visitor side becuz there is more room.

Never seen anyone get muddy on Yoe Field.
Yes it is old. The track there is a 390 yard track. It has a 240 yard straight away. They ran a Straight 220 race the last time the Yoe Relays were run there (early '70s).
