So all the questions about our teams...How about the Mustangs how will they look in 2009?

Honestly, I have no clue. Right now, I would say after Abilene Wylie will win the district. After that, who knows. I could very easily see Sweetwater, Brownwood, Snyder, and Graham ending up in some huge tied up mess for the final spots. Poor Breckenridge.

Will be very interesting to see how Sweetwater will be under a new coach. I am hoping to make a mustang game this year. Looks like our open week is the week that Sweetwater goes to Clyde. Should be pretty cool, Clydes old coach beating the Bulldogs in their brand new stadium.

We finally get a coach that wants to open it up and next year's
QB moved. I guess that is the biggest question mark. Who will
play QB?

I think we'll be solid again. Just like most teams we return alot
of players that either started or saw a lot of playing time.

With a new coach and philosophy. It would be real hard for
anyone to know what to expect. I'll be happy if we make the
playoffs. Everything after will be a bonus.

I know he applied for the HC job at Levelland. I thought he got it.

No, someone from the Houston area got the Levelland job. How many Clyde coaches ended up coming to Sweetwater?

I don't remember now. I believe I was told 3 or 4. I know we lost
3 before Coach Slaughter was hired. So there was definitely open
asst's jobs.

New concession stands and restrooms. I posted pics. But I screwed
up somewhere and they were small when I posted them.

I have no idea how the Mustangs will look last year. Just too many changes and question marks. But I felt pretty much the same way last year and we ended up in the quarter finals, so maybe thats a good thing. I do look forward to the changes Slaughter is bringing, and believe he will have great success. But it may take a couple years to get his system clicking. At least I'm much more optimistic about the future of Mustang football in general than I have been in a long time. Sure wish we had a game this Friday night. I'm ready for some football!

the FCA game? I might just do that. I havent been to one of those in 5 years, and that one was a doozy. Kid hit a 50+ fg in a come from behind win right at the end.
