I guess wind energy isn't taking off as quickly as T. Boone thought...

Capturing wind energy is one thing, distribution and delivery are quite another story.

It was somewhat the same with oil discovery. Wow, we have all this slick stuff; it took years to put it to good use !

I saw a real sports that talked about a small Texas town that put in the wind towers and they build a new school with all the money they made. They were a 6 man team.

The high school is brand new too. The whole campus is only a few
hundred yards south of I-20. You can see everything when you
drive by.

Funny you should mention that. A year or two ago. They had to
suspend half of their season due to some kids that were injured
and three seniors that were failing. I believe they managed to
field a team the last game or two of the season. But to answer
your question...No they don't win very often.:(

I think they had 12 boys on the roster last season....I don't see them moving up to 11-man for quite a while.

The wind energy industry is suffering the same fate as the rest of the nation right now. No reason to think it would have been immune some how.
There are millions of acres leased and hundreds of wind farms developed and ready for construcion to begin. But there simply is no place to borrow the money to build them right now.
It's simple economics 101.

And by the way, T Boone made all his money in oil and gas anyway.

I don't know if things have changed, but back in the day there were more punks per capita in Trent than anywhere else in the big country. Many a skirmish between Sweetwater kids and those Trent idiots coming to Sweetwater to start trouble.
