Yes 161 years ago it was The Miracle of the Gulls.
The Mormons had just settled in Utah and the first year was critical. They had a mild winter and what looked like a promising crop to get them through that first year looked like it was going to be a disastor. Some crickets began to attack the crops and devour it. This was about to be a big plague. However some seagulls flew in and devoured the crickets and disappeared as fast as they had appeared. The crops were saved and they were able to get through the first critical year. A miracle indeed.
And it is a true story and has been verified by history books.
