Have you seen it yet? I went to the George Strait concert Saturday. The stadium is amazing. There are some glitches that need fixing, but it's awesome and gonna be a great venue.

Oh, and I'm not certain if I am allowed to mention that I posted a pretty detailed account of my experience at the stadium on my blog at http://lewp.wordpress.com

If this isn't allowed, please let me know and I will delete the link. Thanks

I went there a couple of months ago and saw the inside, it was a little overrated by my standards

I'm sure it doesn't live up to the standards set by Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, but we Texans (and Cowboy fans) will have to just live with it.

That's like calling the Taj Mahal just another "grave marker". :D

Of course you Philly fans are not impressed with a stadium unless it's full of cigarette butts, smells like BO and spilled beer, has vending machines for dead batteries to throw, and you slide around on discarded hot dogs while joking with your buddy "Joe the Dumber" from South Philly.

And of course being indoors they wouldn't have snowballs to throw at Santa Claus or the players.

I know you meant that as a diss, but that sounds like my kind of stadium. A stadium like that has character. I think most of those things went away when the Vet was tore down but the Linc can still hold its own..

Anyways here is the story I did on the cowgirls stadium. The photographer that went with me tried to take some artsy style photos so there aren't a lot of good shots of the actual stadium, but there are some. Check it out.

Nice article. You want to go into journalism? I thought you wanted to coach baseball.

I did at first but after taking a few kinesiology classes, I decided it wasn't my thing. I like to write and I love sports so I decided to go into sports journalism. I've really enjoyed doing it so far.

Ha thanks.. That story actually got first place at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association convention this year for onsite sports reporting and my friends at the paper always got a kick out of me calling it an award winning story so I had to throw that in there.

I went to the George Strait Concert and sat two row from the TOP! the huge screen was awesome considering that the people on the stage looked like miniature tiny little ants. There were some other problems ( that will get ironed out ) but it is an AWESOME structure!

I wanna know if it's running a 60Hz or 120Hz or more processor. That'll be super sweet.

I know the scoreboard is 8 stories tall, and people actually go in there and work the board. It stretches from the 20 yard line to the other 20 yard line.

It certainly did not look like it was that massive. Hard to tell until I see it with field turf down.

I went to the season ticket holders thing today. Got to scout out spots for the giants game that I have the general admission tickets for.

Jerry was nice enough to offer free parking half price food and 15% pro shop
