Which is the bigger achievement:

1. A pro QB throwing 500 TD passes.

2. A pro pitcher winning 300 games.

This was debated on ESPN today after Randy Johnson recorded his 300th career game win.

solely for the purposes of my opinion, the 500 TD's are better. then again, i detest baseball.

with 24 pitchers having atleast 300 wins and no qb having over 470 with Favre having 464, i would say the 500 tds thrown would be the more impressive

That is what I was thinking

500 TDs is throwing 32 touchdowns a year for 16 seasons.

Strange debate seeing as NO ONE has thrown 500 TDs

in fact only TWO have thrown more than 400..only FIVE have thrown at least 300

so 500 is a mythical number until someone reaches it..if they ever

Since nobody has done, then obviously the 500 td passes is more impressive.. Now if you lowered that number to 400, you would probably have a better argument

I dont even know if u then since only two have done it while 24 have won 300 games

well then you have to take into consideration that MLB has been around longer and it has only been in the past 20 years that passing offenses have really been in fashion but yea maybe 400 is still too high

Yea baseball is a thinking man's game so a lot of people don't have the brain power to comprehend it
