I did not think La Grange would get past Needville and Needville beating Sweeny was not anticipated. La Grange just seemed to have a few distractions during the year making them unable to maintain the focus needed to go to State, talent was definitely there!

Wanted to let you guys know Spring Hill lost to Carthage 4 to 3 in the 3rd game of the series. I know this about Needville but did not want to start a new thread. There are not that many East Texas people on here most of the time.

We were at the game today. Sorry the Ladycats couldn't bring the championship home. Needville deserved to win, no if's and's or but's....they played mistake free defense and we did not. They also put on a clinic on manufacturing runs in a game where there were not many balls hit hard. Finally, their pitcher was terrific, in getting our very good hitting team to pop up time after time.

Again, congrats to Needville girls, well deserved.

Sorry I missed you at Baby A's (guess I was kinda caught up in the moment).

Wonderful reception in Needville when the caravan came home. Needville police escort down 36 into town with cars and people along the way screaming and honking. Big crowd awaiting the team at the softball field. Didn't want to leave. Gotta luv it!

Just got home and gotta put some finishing touches on the website. Just get a couple of nights to recover before going on the road for summer ball.

Faced top-notch teams all the way thru. Any number of them capable of making it all the way. What a ride!
