The Crockett Bulldogs shut down the number 1 back in the nation Friday night, holding him to 162 yards, while the palestine wildcats just had 190 yard of total offense. The Bulldog defense really stepped up to a whole new level of play. This was a very good, and intense game, if you missed it.....then you missed a treat. Palestine pulled off the victory in OT to win the game 28-27. Crockett is a great team, look for them to go far this season. This is truly not the same team from last season.

i wouldn't quite say holding a RB to 162 yds is shutting him down, despite his previous stats ... an L is an L ... good luck in Region III

Now this guy is a fan. Bragging about holding the running back to only 162 yds shows style. He is even excited when his team lost. I truely do love this guy. :D :D

Give this guy a job in Washington D.C.! Talk about spin! Yeah, you go Crocket, only lost by 1 point and held the #1 RB to only 160 yards rushing! Reminds me of an old A&M joke about truck loads of fertilizer. Only lost $100 bucks on the first 10 loads and now have 100 more loads on order. Busines is booming! :D

I am in agreement with Lilred, I believe holding the #1 rated high school RB in the country to 162 yds by a 3A school is quite impressive. Crockett must've played a good game IMO!

Nice job guys. My first thought was to be a little critical at touting a defense that gave up 162 yards, but that kid must be really good for you to be so proud of yourselves. The last time Jasper ran into a guy like that was 1983 when Thurman Thomas torched us for 300+ in the playoffs and we lost 34-7. Our defense had 9 shutouts that year. Where's Peterson going to sign anyway?

who is this running back.. or am i just lost...His name is Adrian Peterson.

Kenny,

He will sign anywhere he wants. I would say the front runners for his services are:

OU, A&M, LSU, and texas. There are rumors of Miami, UCLA, and Florida State also.

I don't look for him to say where he will go until at least the all-star game in January. Then again, it could be signing day.

Good job Crockett. As my HS coach once told us "The other team may be bigger but we're slower" Always the optomist
