Austin Wood has thrown 11 innings of no-hit ball tonight for the Longhorns, which is good for them in that they've only used 2 pitchers. Bad for Wood in that his arm may fall off.

in the top of the 20th

Wood is still in there, now having thrown 12 2/3 innings. He did give up a hit in the 19th. Looking at the play-by-play summary, I counted 162 pitches that he's thrown.

Texas now batting in the top of the 20th with 2 outs................

Ridiculous to thing that the Horns have outhit BC 19-8 and it's still tied....

I guess the 3 errors by Texas hurt them

UT scored both their runs on a HR in the 2nd and BC scored last in the 6th....

I don't think the errors hurt them too bad if the score is only 2-2.. I would say poor hitting w/ runners on base is the likely cause for 19 hits and only two runs

Wild Pitch by BC was huge....

Horns score on an RBI single through the right side

Runner on first with 1 out

Crazy game, not Great game; quite the opposite of great if you think about each inning

Way to go Horns! Great game by both teams!
Too bad television missed an opportunity to broadcast a great historical game even though it is not surprising.

Okay you sports geniuses, this isn't rocket science. Did either of you watch the game? That would be a starting point for this conversation that I need to know. If you watched or listened to the game, you probably aren't worth my time explaining the below . But if you didn't here you go.

I listened to some, and watched some of this game, not all but more than a game and a half worth :D . In the parts that I watched or listened to, there were numerous opportunities missed by Texas mainly, but also Boston College that would have ended this game a lot sooner. Also knowing that there were 14 hits by Texas by I think the 15th inning and only 2 runs to speak of. That is plenty of hits to put together more runs than two even if spread over 14 innings. Texas pitchers did a great job in my opinion. Boston College had a lot less opportunities than texas to win this game, which is good that they didn't pull it out on their one chance that they blew in one of the last few innings.

And I was going for Texas in this game.

Go Rice OWLS!!!!! They won two Sunday to stay alive and face Kansas State Monday evening to advance to the Superregional against LSU

I'm rooting for UT as well before anyone starts hatin'.... I AM faculty there and know where my paycheck comes from but if it comes down to UT vs Rice I'm Rice all the way!

i dont think you have to worry about that...LSU should take care of the KState/Rice winner, even if they dont UT is 1 overall seed and LSU is 2 i believe so the only way they meet should be in the championship game, unless if baseball reseeds once they get to omaha, i cant remember....

And I was going for Texas in this game. Maybe they didn't have timely hitting but come on. Over 12 innings and not allowing a hit? That's impressive!

i was wrong, LSU is the 3 seed...however, if they dont reseed in Omaha that would still mean the only way Rice and Texas meet is in the championship game
