There are no words that would do game 2 justice. 12 innings and 1 run. Both pitcher's did a stellar job and should be commended for their performances. If Game 3 is anywhere near Games 1 or 2 it will be the greatest series played this year in the state.

I don't know how many fans were there (I didn't even try to count) but reports at the game said over 1,200. Game 3 could have between 1,500 and 2,000.

In 2000 Brazoswood won the Class 5A CHAMPIONSHIP and were 34-0 (Mythical National Champion's). I was talking to someone and he said they never had a crowd this big for a regional championship.

Just so you know..

the KULP group - who are nice guys, btw, I got a chance to meet them....are the Needville "broadcasters" (obviously)..

the K-MAC Sports group was brought in by the Sweeny boosters...so I consider us the "Sweeny broadcasters"..

There was police there for both Game 1 and Game 2. They were there for security reasons. I did hear one of them ask for backup last night. It is likely they will need more tonight.

I dont have a final but Needville was up 1-0 with two outs in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Left our car and 20 minutes later the game was over
