We would prefer Head Baseball experience but with the right guy we would be willing to hire a first time Head Coach. Need to have great character, a solid football foundation, and someone willing to commit the time necessary to develop our Baseball program. Don't want a "one and done" coach. Admministration will allow a coach time to develop the program, if it's done the right way. Must be a good fit on a Staff of outstanding men and excellent coaches, it's taken 3 years to get the Staff we have in place. And being a good fit on the Staff will be an important factor in hiring. Must be willing to share athletes and encourage them to play all sports. We have good classes of athletes in all four grades.

I think I would be a perfect fit for this job, but I am already in the process of turning one around and my job isn't finished. Program I am at had 8 wins in 7 years prior to my arrival. I went 0-20 first year and 5-17 this past year. I'm loaded with jr's and soph's for next year with a real shot at landing 3rd place in a tough district that includes 2A's #1 Holliday. There is no such thing as an overnight turnaround unfortunately and even more unfortunate is the impatience of many parents. They want their kids to win, but they don't understand the work that must be put in to build a strong foundation that will allow those wins to come. A team must first be fundamentally sound before you can start to get into working on the more advanced parts of the game.

I agree as does our Administration (ex-coaches)and School Board. They have given and will continue to give us time with the Football Program. The same applies to the Baseball job as well as all of our Athletic programs. We need someone that will come in, stay, and invest in our kids. It does take time to get it done. This could be a good job with the kids and talent we have with next year's Seniors and Juniors. And an outstanding Freshman class follows an improving Sophomore class.
