Nope, it would be this one.

The site has not been determined, but the days have. Thursday and Saturday. Sinton graduates on Friday.

I figured it'd be thursday and Saturday. This could possibly be home and home seein how this game was postponed.

Can they do that? Doesn't UIL require neutral or home neutral?

I'm startin to think Seguin or even Cuero. Or Victoria if they play an earlier game than Bellville-Robstown.

I can positively say that a game will not be played on Giddings home field. It will hardly hold a regular attended home game much less a play off game and the cow pasture parking won't cut it either.

My guess is a flip flop of the Bellville/Robstown schedule. OR back to the SA Northside stadium. How was that Sinton? Giddings knows how to get there, we played Rio Hondo at that same complex in football.

Very proud of the way District 25 and District 31 are representing in these baseball playoffs. Very impressive. Way to go Bellville, Giddings, Robstown, Sinton.

Go Buffs. pitch by pitch.

Seguin & Judson were some of the locations I heard thrown around. The seating at Northside ISD would not be adequate for a region semi-final game, IMO.

So, tell us about the Giddings team. I've looked over their schedule & scores on 3abaseball.com, but that doesn't really tell me anything.

What's the scoop? SFIA will add Sinton's latest stats to this thread soon. We have no secrets.

Coach Marlow has been there 21 years, based on info at 3abaseball.com. Coach Locke, probably just as long.

Sinton comes in with a 18 game win streak an in that stretch has outscored its opponent 163-9 with 10 shut outs. Last team to beat them was Calallen 4-2.

Since the start of 2007 playoff season Sinton record is 16-3 in the playoffs.

Has'nt lost to a 3a team and below this season.

Past 3 season not including playoffs Sinton is 48-1 against 3a teams and lower and 3-0 in warm up games.

Has been to the region finals 6 out of the last 7 years

Stats hopefully by tommorrow night

Good luck to our District 25 turkey-calling friends. I was hoping to make a game or 2 but will now be impossible with Bellville playing the same days in Victoria and San Marcos.

IMO, Giddings will take this series in 3, too many big sticks in that lineup and are as good as you can get at the high school level on defense. The Marlow boys up the middle are as good of a tandem as I've seen in 3A.

Good luck Buffs, hope to see y'all in the Finals!

Only seen them once and thats all i needed to know they would be one of the teams Sinton would had to get by. Ethan Kmoch and Trey Masek is like facing Josh and Shane so that should give a good indication Sinton is in for a battle. Hitting wise i think it was Ty Marlow that homered against Bellville that hit the top of the fence for the HR. They're a very good hitting team but like Bellville showed, good pitching beats good hitting or slows them down as Giddings still won 2-1. Should be a great series.

It was Trey Masek that hit the top of the fence for a home run. I have changed my prediction and picked Giddings to win in 2 after hearing that Josh Rodriguez can't pitch for 3-6 weeks...then again it's JMO.

Tim Cortez 3-1 1.35 ERA( his last 8 innings of work has 18 strikeouts and allowed just 1 hit) will get his chance just didnt get a chance before with Josh and Shane in 2 man rotation. His only loss was to Calallen 4-2.

Shane Segovia is 9-1 with a 1.08 ERA and Oceil Martinez 4-2 with a 1.93 ERA will be other pitching options as starters.

Josh Rodriguez is 6-1 0.59 ERA

From Corpus Christi Caller Times:

Sinton vs. Giddings

Series: Today - Game 1 in S.A.; Saturday - Games 2/3 in S.A.

The scoop: Giddings beat out Bellville for the District 25-3A title. The Buffaloes’ bats have been impressive this postseason. Sinton, the District 31-3A champs, has yet to be tested in the playoffs. The Pirates have played two one-game playoffs and run-ruled both opponents by the score of 15-1 and 10-0.

I sincerely hope Giddings scores at least twice. Maybe sinton will take it easy on the region III rejects. Being a RIII reject might be good/an advantage in Football/Basketball/Track/*insert every sport imaginable here* ...but it's nothing in baseball. Hopefully sinton waits until the 5th to score/run-rule. Dont' want things getting to bad out there and you kind of wanna give the fans a show.

Sinton 19
Giddings 2

I see you are trying to stir things up. Go on and keep thinking that Giddings won't bring their big sticks. Looks like all the trash talking posts come from south of I-10.

im excited about both matchups... bellville/r'town, giddings/sinton

looks like 4 powerhouse teams that all ran through their districts... now we'll just see who the better district is. i'm not going to make any prediction other than this...i think it will either be an all 31-3A regional final, or all 25-3A.

He did say Robstown wouldnt lose another game when Sinton beat them the first time and when we beat them the 2nd time so hes hoping for a 3rd time :D
