Just having a little fun. Those 2 former R3 districts that moved to R4 have been doing quite well in that region. I happen to be sandwiched between those 2 districts and I do give them lots of credit & plenty of support. BTW, who was it that called us R3 rejects?? :D :)

The Houston Chronicle shows Sweeny winning both district games 1-0 & 2-1.

Sat, 5/29, 7:30pm (if necessary)
(all games at neutral location .. Manvel is one of the possibilities, nothing confirmed yet)

District results:
3/31 @ Needville - Sweeny 1, Needville 0
4/17 @ Sweeny - Sweeny 2, Needville 1

Needville 30-7 ... no losses to 3A teams (other than the 2 to Sweeny)
Sweeny 31-2 ... no losses to 3A teams

Just south of Houston on Hwy 6 (near 288).

According to the UIL 4A Softball Playoff Bracket, Angleton/Waltrip are scheduled there on 5/28 and 5/29.

They ought to play in West Columbia sweet field and park. And right in the middle of both towns.

Anyone want to guess how many people were at game one? The field was TOO SMALL!!!!! I couldn't see all the people. The Sweeny Bullpen had a good 100 or more standing the entire game. Needville fans were in the stands of the Football Practice field, and people were sitting on top of there trucks.

At least a 1,000 I would say.....maybe more.

I hope tonight's game is as exciting!

Plan on going to the game, Leave EARLY!!!!!!

Congrats to the Lady Jays and yes...the field itself was very nice but it wasn't very spectator friendly. People were standing several rows deep. Regional Final game (especially one with 2 teams from the same district) should be played in a stadium that will hold the fans...

B'wood's field was built a while back and there should be some expansion on that thing... but it is a nice field...
Manvel was taken,

Yep the field was fine, but seating sucked. Hopefully Sweeny can get it together for tonight. Last night was by far the worst I have seen them play, but hopefully it was just an off night and they can take care of business like they've already done twice this year. It will definitely be a great game.
