Bellville has batted around in the top of the 2ed and lead 7-2. Hackemack--aka Hackbar hit a 3 run homer.. Go Brahmas. Never thought they would score 7 tonight..

As much as I can't stand SOME of the Bellville fans on this board, I have to say that Bellville has been playing some very good ball during their playoff run so far. Seeing as though they dominated Cuero and now Sweeny, I am surprised they weren't ranked higher in the state rankings through the season...

I went and saw the Bellville/Sweeny game last night and it was a good one from start to finish. Bellville has some very patient batters at the plate and they don't swing at too many bad pitches.

I didn't give them much of a chance against Cuero but after that win and the Wharton Series and the game last night it will be great to see them go so far as to meet Giddings down the road again.

Tigerpride but give it to Bellville.

The umps tonight were bad both ways. Very inconsistent strike zone all night. Both pitchers struggled to put it where he was calling it. Tallerine had 7 walks and 9 K's in 6 and 2/3 innings. Hornback had 6 walks and 5 K's in 5 innings.

Tallerine did a great job of regrouping and giving up 0 runs in the 5th-7th.

Base running mistakes in the 2nd inning for Sweeny, ran them out of a big inning with Hornback due up next.

At the plate for Bellville: Tallerine 3-5(2 doubles), Hackemack 2-3(HR and a double off the wall), Pickett, Mueller, Jackson Gremmel and Gaffey also had hits tonight.

hack hack should have had 2 bombs, but the crappy umps never saw it hit the yellow on the fence... if ur at the age of 60, you shouldnt be aloud to umpire. period! i give the hornback kid credit~~ by far one of the best kids ive seen play baseball in 3A.

that was not a homerun. the ball must leave the park to be a homerun. yellow line doesn't mean anything. I was sitting on the 3b side of park. it hit 3/4 way up the wall...

Thanks for the birds-eye view on that..I thought it was gone, had an obstruction in left field trying to call the game behind home plate underneath the press box..

I don't normally talk bad about any one (umps especially)..but I saw so many "umpire conferences" during last night's ball game that I was ready to bring in Ramada Inn as a sponsor (this conference sponsored by Ramada Inn)...

Bellville fans were pretty pathetic....your up 11-5 and your booing ryan hornback when gets a base hit....and when sweeny switched pitchers they were booing that guy too because he came in the night before and went three up three down agianst the 1-2-3 batters, sorry if the stirrs up any arguements but in wasnt very classy at all..... Good luck to Bellville in the next round

I was at the game and I didn't hear any booing, except toward the umpires and that was coming from all of the fans. I talked to several fans from both sides, actually watched most of the game behind the Sweeny dugout. Sweeny really hurt themselves with errors & mental mistakes, don't blame the Bellville fans. Both teams do quite a bit of talking from their respective dugouts (which I don't like), but that's part of baseball.

Ye their was definitely one Bellville fan acting a fool he was told not to use #'s by the blue. Hornback threw a ball at him is was funny. Gotta give it to the kid he just laughed it off and moved on.
