The brand newish 52" 1999 Sony projection screen "video board" is running like a champ! That Gorilla Glue is some good stuff when combined with a little duct tape, bailing wire, and sucker rod. They even figured out how to duct tape several of those orange outdoor extension cords to the wall to get power up there saving on the expense of an electrician, it's hardly noticeable! The real news though is the upgrades to the baseball and softball fields. They spent a whopping $85 on new screws to rebuild the outfield fences. They somehow managed to salvage the metal off of the old Stephens County Ag Center and through hard work and dedication by the maitenance staff the fencing was completed just in time for the season to end. Also, new concessions and bathrooms were built between the two outfield fences out of an old out building moved over from East Elementary. It's just ingenius how they managed to incorporate those port-a-potties into the design of this new "top of the line" facility. For next year plans are already being made to rebuild the batting cages out of some newly donated drill pipe and the old chain link fencing that was stripped off of the outfield fences this year. Redneck recycling, who knew it could be taken to this high of a level??? :thumbsup: Breckinridge ISD!!!
