What Makes A 50 Post, 500 View Thread?

I always wanted to ask what you think are the qualities which make a thread have 50 posts and over 500 views? I put up lots of stuff on purpose trying to "sample" the board's moods--- some take off like wildfire and others drop like rocks. What types of threads do you like or dislike the most?

During football off-season....I like the frivolous and fun nonsense threads.

Come to think of it....I kinda like those during football season too!!:D

I think you can get a good feel on what kind of person the posters here are from them!

I just did a little quick math. It looks like on every thread for ever post their are at least 10 additional views. Some have a good deal more depending on the topic but 10 to 1 is pretty average for 3ADL

I like the funny topics more! Although it definitely seems like the controversial topics stay alive much longer, and get more responses. Sometimes it's just hard to get your point across, or say all of what's on your mind, in one or two posts, so they just keep going.........and going..........and going..........:doh: :D

And sometimes...no matter how hard you try, it is just hard to explain things without being able to talk outloud to someone...IMO anyway!!

My guess is at the Regional track meets, and not long after---State. He used to work some of the field events at some of the meets.
