Memorial Day School Question

I was talking to my sister and she told me that the school that she works at is having school on Memorial Day. My question is does your school have classes that day and if they do, would you send your kids? There's no way I would send my kids to school on Memorial Day. That is disrespectful in my opinion.

Technically, Memorial Day is really on Saturday, May 30th....it is just observed on Monday the 25th!!!:D

I don't know if Greenwood has school or not that day!

I thought memorial day was on the 25th. The last Monday in May

I don't know of any other schools that are having classes on Memorial Day. I know the school where my wife and daughters go are off that day, as well as all the other schools in our county. I'm with you, why have school on Memorial Day? It a holiday, for crying out loud!

We are always off. I thought it was a nationally recognized holiday? If the post office isn't open the school shouldn't be

It would be a 'Bad Weather Day' for Liberty Hill. However, since there were no bad weather days this year, there is no school.
