I think it's foolish of the Bridge City coach to allow his starting pitcher handle nearly the entire game...it's just a warm-up game! You run the risk of the boy getting his arm hurt, etc.

BC has alot of people at this game. It means nothing. Next week is when it all starts.

an interesting side note to this game tonight...the Cuero head coach, Scott Holder, began his coaching career at Cameron Yoe, the team that Bridge City faces on Monday night...

There were a few things said incorrectly in this stream of info--BC Pitched 4 Pitchers tonight in the ballgame 3 Juniors and one Sophomore. Both teams seem to sub pretty freely. It was a great workout for these good teams.

Cuero and BC fans gathered after the game and were very friendly to each other and expressed admiration for others teams. We all agreed that this was a viable workout for both teams and hope to do it again maybe next post-season.

It will take a determined and skilled team to take out either of these teams in the playoffs. We all in attendance, seemed to agree: our hopes/dreams are that we could meet in a real Championship Final game to end our seasons :D

Ceuro had some great fans there tonight and a very solid Senior laden team.
Thank your Cureo Coach, this gave BC-- with a surprisingly young team-- a lot of things to reevaluate on; and to hone skills and make adjustments for Mondays' game with Cameron Yoe.

I just wanted to add that starting the 4th inning the Catcher and Centerfielder were Freshman. Cameron Dishon in CF is the younger brother of Johnny Dishon who plays BB for LSU. Folks, that were at the stadium last night--remember the very tall Scoreboard in centerfield? Johnny knocked a home-run completely over the top of that structure in a playoff game held there.

Again it was a great training exercise for both teams.

I have a grandson that plays for one of Cuero Pony Leage teams. Coach Holder was at the game and I got a chance to meet him. His passion for the kids and baseball is unbelieveable. What a find for Cuero baseball.

Congrats to Cuero on very solid game! You guys have a great TEAM, and they work together well!

A very well-played game by the gobblers, from geting the bunt downas needed, to hit and runs, to SACs. Also a VERY good job at the plate, top to bottom.

BC had one of those nights where everything hit was right to somebody. The sticks will have to pick up to get the chance to meet the Gobblers again........
