wow, talk about completely shafting Rice....

i dont think we have to worry about Berkman retiring and then becoming head coach at UT...Whenever Garrido retires im pretty sure UT is gonna hire another proven head coach that has experience, not take a chance on Berkman who has no experience recruiting and coaching at that level...he may one day be a college coach but he'll have to work his way up like most coaches however his MLB experience will prolly give him somewhat of a head start....

He grew up in New Braunfels and was a Longhorn fan his whole life. Why is that wrong?

if he likes the Longhorns so much why did he not play his college ball there? They must not have liked him then, and probably would not like him in 4 or 5 years whenever Garrido retires.

He wasn't recruited by them. Doesn't mean they don't like him, plus he said he wouldn't mind being an assistant first.
