whats the name of the family owned Italian place downtown? Its walls are covered with photos and autographs of celebrities that have ate there.

I had a plate of alfredo in there in night and had to be wheel barrowed out to the car.....

There is a very good mexican food restaurant across the street from Cal Allen High School. I can't remember the name, but their tortillas and fajitas were GREAT!!!

Another good Mexican Food place is La Costenita on Leopard toward downtown from NPID. Headed to downtown, it's just past Armstrong lumber on the right side of the street.

I've eaten at China Bear dozens of times and have never had a bad meal there or any bad experiences at all.

When we go down to the Corpus area to see family, my wife likes going to eat at Snoopy's (going towards the island past Flower Bluff) for seafood. I like Water Street myself... Depending on what you order, the prices are very similar.

For Mexican, the Mrs. likes Kiko's (I'm not a huge fan) and La Playa (I like that better & there's a number of different locations.

The chinese place I like is by one of the La Playas on South Padre Island Drive which has a huge variety and really good food.

For breakfast or a GOOD treat you have to go to the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on SPID

My daughter's favorite place in CC!
LOL!

There is nothing like a HOT Krispy Kreme Doughnut when the sign is flashing! Don't knock it until you try it!!

Plus it is cool to see them being made!

Dont know if its still there or not, but I went to a seafood place called Elmo's one time, that was awesome. It was near the aquarium, but out on a peir. It may be the best seafood I ever had. But that was several years ago, so I have no idea if it's still there or not. And I'm not 100% sure about the name either. Seems like it was Elmo's though.

Affordable seafood= Boat N Net (I didn't say it is the best but it is the most affordable)
Best Chinese Buffet: Jin's Asian Buffet at Staples Center is supposed to have made top 100 buffet's in America according to a source and has made "Best of The Best" before.
Best Mexican: No clue, but my wife loves Kiko's because of their good fried mushrooms.

I live in Corpus and eat out every day.

Best Mexican: La Costenita

Best affordable seafood: Landry's, La Costenita also has seafood.

Best Chinese Buffet: Don't come to Corpus for oriental food, you'll be barfing all the way back to Brazoria. Eat at Longhorn Steak and Ale. That's the best tasting food in the entire city.

If you would like specific directions pm me and I'll help you find them.

Stay away from Chaparral and Water St. trust me on that one...

Momma Mia's???? GREAT food.

Executive Surf Club used to be pretty good...

Is La Bahia still open downtown? great mexican food, if they are still going.

Water Street Oyster bar is awesome...and a little less expensive than Landrys. both are way good tho.

also The Two George's. and it would be worth the drive up to Odem for the Railroad(?) seafood place. AWESOME shrimp and oysters served family style. the catfish is hit or miss there.
