FORNEY – Baylen Laury carried 21 times for 234 yards and scored four touchdowns as Forney (8-1, 5-0), ranked No. three in SportsDay's class 3A-others area rankings, clenched a share of the district 13-3A title.
Quarterback Caleb Hanie completed 7 of 12 passes for 146 yards and four touchdowns as Forney outgained Kaufman in total yards 517-118.
Kaufman (4-5, 3-2) was led by running back Curtis Jones with 17 carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns. Kaufman remains alive for a playoff spot going into their season finale vs. Pinkston.
