Once you become an adult, anything other than "mom" is unstable or inappropriate. Even worse is calling her by her first name.

I think it's weird for kids (any age) to address their moms as "mother"...that just seems so stiff & formal, IMO!

I call my mom, mom! :D

I only call my mom "mother" or by her name if I can't get her attention any other way. Especially when there are lots of us "moms" around...I am from a BIG family!

My kids seem to call me "Ki-Ki" more now since my grandkids call me that.
