Mueller for Bellville gave up 3 hits and had 5 K's.

Good game and pitching performance by Mueller, Huebner, Kmoch and Masek.

From seeing both teams several times, the hitting was not there for any of them. I guess I could give all the credit to the pitching (Mueller was putting some extra something on his fastball and Kmoch battled all night, Masek looked very confident/sharp) but I think the break/swine flu is the real reason for the hitting slumps overall. These teams can really hit and we just didn't see what we have seen from them.

Weimar-great place to play. Good concession and field. If you are the visitors, make sure to bring your sunshades. OR better yet, start the game @ 8 pm.

Agreed, the break probably had something to do with the hitting. However, Giddings was more disciplined at the plate and put the ball in play with better contact than Bellville.
