Caldwell 20, Hearne 14 (unless the HOrnets take the Eagles way too lightly and last year it appeared they did until the second quarter. Hearne is not the same old Hearne this year. They know this game will measure just how much progress they've made. Thorndale is 1A and Grandview just plain sucks. Liberty Hill is a strong team with a bright future again and Madisonville is what I'd call an average 3A team that needs work on offense so schedule-wise Caldwell should have an edge.
If Caldwell can pull off another shutout, it could be 12 quarters without a score since they play Smithville next week. Giddings, on the other hand I think will be a good warm-up game before district begins.

Hearne 3 via field goal, Caldwell 2 w/ a safety.

CHS_CG: breathe...

goforit: Realisticly, Caldwell 14 Hearne 0...

Defense can get the job done as long as the key players don't get hurt again (like in the LH game)... Offense still has some bugs to workout but that'll come later... I believe they are still trying out new ideas for the offense... just a matter of patience on the part of the fans...

Now that doesn't mean I have taken Hearne lightly... they have speed on their side... they usually bring their best game against us... Should Caldwell lose, will it surprise me? No...

I don't know one thing about either team however, I do have a lot of confidence in the Hearne coach. He comes from a football family born and raised in Ballinger. He didn't play for ballinger himself but coached here for several years as the DC under his dad. He seems to have Hearne headed in the right direction. He seems to be a very good motivator. From all accounts it is not easy to win at hearne because of some attitude problems in the past. Hopefully he will keep things going well there.

CHS_Grad '85 I have to agree with you on the Offense needing to work the bugs out. The Defense need to work on containment & it will be ok.

Hearne against Thorndale was a okay game ken dunn the rb for hearne is coming back off a broke ankle was a little rusty ,but they do have a back up gloster cooks which is or can be just as good.
a sophmore reciever that is around 6'5"and can jump get ready to see some passing
the defense looks good and the offensive line is at least blocking this year ...
get ready caldwell the eagles do have a some major weapons offensively and defensively

hearne 28 caldwell 14 and this is going on out of a limb and hope the eagles show up too play

It would sure be nice if Caldwell could use other teams' lack of respect for them to get angry and put some point on the board. Wonder if there'll be another police escort to this one - or if they've fixed the 30-year-old splinters at Wood Field.

GoForIt give it a rest dude. First you accuse Cameron of having needles in the grass (??) then you say Hearne has splinters and you guys need security? I played ball for several years and the only place that ever posed a problem was La Vega and they weren't even players just some dumb kids acting like retards. Keep to yourself while in Hearne and you'll be just fine.

I see Caldwell coming out with the win on Friday. I'll give it to Hearne, they have the speed. Also, they should be pumped since they're at home. I still see Caldwell winning it though. GO HORNETS!!!!!! :p

I think Mr. oYe needs to get over the fact that Cameron sucks this year. What do ya'll think? frown

Well I know every year we have played in Hearne the band buses and most likely the football bus gets police escort out of the town. It is the only town that we get escorted out. I remember hearing something about how it all started but it doesnt come to mind right now. Plus it could be just and old tale, who knows.

i think Caldwell will take it 20-14. but i don't know...one thing i do know is...that last year the Cheerleaders, dance, Band, and football all got escorted in the game, out of the game, and out of town...sooo... but i think caldwell will win if our QB does a lil bit better job..and we dont fumble as much as we did against m'ville

What do ya'll think? :(goforit, how old are you? freshman? 8th grade? i mean honestly, this last post, and the one about a police escort? youre stirring the pot a little early my friend, this isnt even district and you are already making enemies. cant wait till district comes around and see what kind of junk you post then. hehe, try and lighten up and quit putting so much trash on here that only gets people mad at each other. seriously.

not only that dude but lets make yet another comparison:
China Spring vs. Madisonville
Bellville vs. Liberty Hill
Gatesville vs. Hearne

So tell me. What's wrong w/ that picture?

Ok I will agree he can lay off of Hearne but yoe dude YOU need to lay off of Caldwell too. Now the thing about the police escort isnt a lie. We get one everytime we go to Hearne. I know fans that would rather stay home and hear about the game then go to Hearne. Yall think how other people feel when they hear that teams get police escorts out of Hearne. (its not too good)

oYe let it go.GoForIt dosen't speek for Caldwell after all he is form Milam county not Burleson. Hope Cameron & Caldwell get it together so on oct 10 in Cameron we can see an excelent game between two GOOD FOOTBALL TEAMS. That leave it all no the feild. This board don't win the games the teams win the games. So let the TEAMS settle the argument on the feild. Good luck to the oYe & the Hornets (Caldwell that is) Friday. :p

fair enough :) I just like getting under his skin that's all. Believe it or not my Dad's entire family lives in Caldwell so 'tis all in good fun. But what does suck...is that I can't even make the Cameron/Caldwell game. Prior obligations :( I'll definately be listening in though!!
