Sinton Priest Stabbed Several Times

SINTON - Reverend Shaji F. Varghese, 42, a priest at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Sinton, was stabbed several times around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the stabbing occurred shortly after morning mass.
Reverend Varghese was Halo-flighted to Spohn Memorial, where he is being prepped for surgery.
Diocese spokesperson Marty Wind confirmed that police have arrested one suspect in connection with the stabbing.
