Be sure you keep lots of food in your vehicle---most people can only live about a week without food. :D

I used a GPS to try to find a softball park in Abilene at the start of the season (the one by the lake that you can see from the highway coming in from Brownwood). Dang GPS tried to turn me into a junk yard on the wrong side of town. Have not tried to use on since

I think that could be in the same category as Michael Scott driving into a lake

The folks from "formerly Great Britain" use GPS all the time. Some of the world's worst drivers live there. :nerd:

I have the little hundred dollar Tom Tom and I use it all the time. But then again, I do get around. I could afford one of the expensive ones if I saved up:D , but I'm very happy with the way mine works.

I used my on-star turn by turn directions for the first time last Saturday and I loved it... makes me kinda sad I dont have on-star in my truck & that my on star runs out on my Equinox next week.

As far as the actual directions is there one better than another? I have always wanted one but can go without voice recognition and all of that, as long as it knows where it's going.

I travel every week (NE, KS, OK, TX, LA, AR, MS, AL, TN, and GA) and I use the TomTom 1. I updated the maps about a month ago and am very pleased. It may not have all of the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive ones have but I don't need all of the other stuff. This one gets me where I need to go and I downloaded Mr. T's voice for the directions...it is excellent!

With all of the traveling that I do....The thing I enjoy most about my GPS is knowing how much farther I have to go before I get there.

I think it would be great if I could load George Carlin's voice into it. Make a wrong turn and hear "You moron! Your OTHER right! I swear, you drive like an old woman!" :D

Used have navigation on my car but I traded it in. Pretty sweet. Going to city it would give all hotels, restaurants and points of interest. Now,I just use Google Maps before I leave home and print out directions, if I'm not too sure where I'm going!!!

:D :D :D

I have the Garmin Nuvi 205, no bells or whistles, but it has never failed me. When I miss a turn, it has always been my fault for not paying attention.:D
