This is a great chance for some of you whiners, so called fans, and even upstanding citizens to do a great service for the game of footbal.
It is May and 4A and 5A teams are preparing for next year. There are sping games scheduled for this Friday. That means that those dedicated OFFICIALS are studying, practicing, and getting into shape for the upcoming season.
So if you are of partically sound mind and body, go sign up at your nearest TASO football chapter immediately and become an official. I am biting the bullet and putting on the White hat this year. There is nothing more scary for an official than to do this.
If you don't understand this, watch a game sometime watching just the coaches and their discussions with the Referee.
Anyway, go join. The thrill of standing on the 50 yard line when the National Anthem is played and then the crowd breaks loose is a rush you will never get in the stands.
