What are you doing? I know the kids are getting tired.

Wouldn't you just keep running on your own track? It's not like football where you can't simulate a real game in practice. Running is running.

It is extremely hard to motivate a kid into doing his work when all of his buddies are off chasing tail and fooling around the weight room instead of beating it around the track like he is. The prize is so far off in the distance it is hard to keep them going all the while trying to manage when they will peak has it's own new obstacles.

Our fastest sprint relay runner quit yesterday because he didn't want to practice for three more weeks and it was his senior year.
