Some Ma & Pa Kettle movies coming to TCM!

They will be starting on August 17, 2009 at 6 P.M. This is great news because these movies haven't been on tv for a while. Ma & Pa Kettle were introduced by the funny Fred MacMurray and Claudette Colbert movie The Egg and I. They were such a hit though in a supporting role that they started their own series of movie every year. That night TCM is showing their first four and hopefully the others in September or soon.
The movies are:

1949 Ma & Pa Kettle at 6 P.M.
1950 Ma & Pa Kettle go to Town at 7:30 P.M.
1951 Ma & Pa Kettle Back on the Farm at 9 P.M.
1952 Ma and Pa Kettle at the County Fair at 10:30 P.M.

These are great! Don't miss them! I will post the others when they are showing on this thread so keep an eye out for them and I will ttt this one about a week before they are shown. Good news indeed!

As a note of interest Richard Long who was in many movies and television series (most notable as Barbara Stanwyck's lawyer son Jarrad in The Big Valley) appears in the first three movies as the Kettle's Oldest Son, Tom. Unfortunately Richard's untimely death robbed us of a good actor in 1974.
