The Lakers are the better team. That doesn't mean that Houston can't slip up on them and make it close. I wouldn't even call it a miracle if Houston won, but it would be very surprising. Regardless I'll be cheering them on.

I'll take my Rockets, but it will be very difficult to knock off the top team in the West. Last season, Houston won the season series vs the Lakers. This was with a healthy T-Mac and missing Yao later in the season. Houston is 0-4 this year, but two close games at home and one game on the road where the Rockets led by 16 points. In 3 of those games, they were missing some of their top players. Artest, Battier, T-Mac and Landry all missed games with the Lakers.

Getting back to the game tonight, Houston played very good defense, especially on the perimeter. Aldrige & Roy got their points, but the Rockets made sure Blake, Fernandez or Outlaw didn't beat them from the outside. Those 3 players combined to shoot 4-20 from the field. Ron Artest finally had a good shooting game, leading the rockets with 27 points.

if the Rockets even get a hint of winning the series Stern will put Crawford on every game to ensure that the Lakers meet the Cavs in the finals...
it is all about the $$$$$$$.... this will be a very good series and I think the Lakers will take it in either 6 or 7...

In all honesty, I think the playoffs in the NBA are almost like wrestling...
there is no way that Stern did not know that the ref was gambling on games...

I want Houston to win very badly, but I think the Lakers take it in 5---I don't think anybody in the NBA can stay with them when they step on the gas and need to win.

A lot of Rockets haters on the board! I don't see it as Rocket haters as much as I see a better, deeper Lakers team. Houston can win, but it will most certainly be an uphill battle. There's a reason everyone in the west was playing for the 2nd seed after the All Star break.

Does it make difference if the Rockets meet the Lakers in the 2nd or 3rd round? Got to play them sometime. Yes, there would be a slim chance of some team knocking them off, but very unlikely. Portland played the Lakers very well during the season, but, not sure if those two teams would of even met.
