Wow, what a great display of intense defensive performance against a much improved Lake Dallas team. Minus 15 yards and no 1st downs in the second half has to give my Bulldogs a boost in confidence for it's upcoming game agaist an always good Abilene Wylie team. Offense has also kicked it in to gear rushing for 205 yards and 223 yards passing. Good Job Bulldogs...

When is the last time Everman had more yards passing than running the ball? 3 TD passes over 40 yards, our receiver's speed really showed on the field. Should be a tough game next week.

From Staff Reports

LAKE DALLAS – For nearly one half of Friday night's game, Lake Dallas appeared that it might parlay home-field advantage into the program's first playoff win.

However, Everman (9-2) quickly reminded everyone why it is the two-time defending Class 3A Division I state champion with a 56-7 victory at Falcon Field.

Lake Dallas (5-6) played without its starting running back, but in his first varsity start, junior Evan Cubbage had 46 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter.

With Lake Dallas (5-6) stacking nine defenders near the line of scrimmage, Everman quarterback Neiman Busch was forced to the air. He hooked up with Chad Watson for a 40-yard touchdown in the first quarter, then hit Tim Jackson and Watson again on scoring strikes of 56 and 55 yards in the second quarter.

Let's hope that we can open up the passing game in the weeks to come, and maybe have the success needed to get to the title game. Pass defenders will have to step up their game as we get deeper in the playoffs. You never know what kinds of offense's we will face? "Play like there's no tomorrow" and savor the moment. Let's take it to the Bulldog's of Abilene. Good Luck to "The Dogs" of Everman.

Just want to know what kind of strengths the Bulldogs of Abilene have this time of the year? Who are some of their stand out players (or positions)? Is their strengths on offense or defence?
